Today is Day 4

No late buses today.

Do you drive to school everyday but live close enough to walk or bike? We will be having a “Walk or Bike to School Week” contest to motivate students to avoid driving in order to keep our environment clean! The contest will be held next week from May 21-24th. Students who are able to walk or bike to school will get a raffle ticket as they come to school each morning. On Friday the 25th, we will draw for amazing PRIZes including $50 gift cards to REI and Dick’s sporting Goods and a BRAND NEW BIKE! Have fun and good luck!

Attention 8th Graders: Civics Week Packets are due back to your homeroom teachers by Friday May 18. You cannot go to or participate in Civics Week without these forms.

Team Narwals is collecting care package items for the troops. Non-perishable snacks and personal hygiene items can be dropped off in Mrs. Amonte’s room (204). All collected items will be sent overseas to deployed soldiers from Hingham.

Students who would like to leave the Cafeteria after eating their lunch must sign out a lunch pass, from the LMC, IN THE MORNING BEFORE HOMEROOM. Only students with this pass will be dismissed to the LMC.

Ambassador Club: On Tuesday, May 22, 2018 we will help create goody bags for the Pan-Mass Challenge South Shore Kids Ride, a fundraiser for The Jimmy Fund at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. We will be meeting in the cafeteria at 2:00pm. We can use all the help we can get, so all are welcome to join us! Snacks will be provided.

Join the Adventure Club on the last trip of the year! We will be going to Tree Top Adventures on Thursday May 24th after school. You must complete the online waiver found on the Google Classroom AND hand in your check and permission slip. All forms can be found on the Adventure Club Google Classroom. Permission slips are due by Friday May 18th and must be handed directly to Ms. Miller, Mrs. Giordani or Ms. Rowley.

Battle of Grape Island Commemoration Day, featuring Reenactment of the Battle between the Hingham Militia and His Majesty’s First Regiment of Foot Guards – Sunday May 20th, 1-3 PM at Hingham Harbor Bandstand.

Would you like to learn about food allergies and help younger children learn how to deal with these allergies too? Interested middle schoolers would attend 2 training workshops and then be paired with an elementary school student with food allergies at a kickoff meeting. MCAS testing today for 8th grade – Science

Tennis Intramurals today right after school at the tennis courts.

Ultimate Frisbee today after school.  Meet Mr. Whelan in the gym at 2:05.

Homework Club for 7th and 8th grade will meet in room 216.

Video News Club will meet in the LMC today after school.

Coding Club today after school in room 304.

Any 6th or 7th grade student who needs to make up the MATH MCAS test should report to the DLT with a pencil after the announcements today. You will be given a loaner Chromebook to use.
