Today is the first day of “Start With Hello” Spirit Week. Today is “Name Tag Day.” In your homeroom write your name on your name tag and wear it all day. Say hello to people you know or don’t know as a way to build connections in the school. If homeroom teachers are missing name tags or other materials, please send a student to the main office. Teachers should be wearing name tags too – so come grab one if you need extra!

Today is the start of Banned Books Week, and the LMC is running a contest. Find out if one of your favorite books has been targeted for censorship! Check out the LMC’s book display for more information.

Tuesday is Mix & Match Day! Make sure to wear your wacky, random, mismatched clothes for the start of the “Random Acts of Kindness Challenge.

Keyboarding today in room 210.

Art Club meeting after school today in room 224 with Mrs. LaPointe. We will discuss upcoming projects and plans for the club. The meeting will end in time for the late bus. See Mrs. LaPointe with any questions.

Coding Club for 7th and 8th graders with Mr. Galvin and Mr. Santarpia will meet Tuesday in room 304. No coding experience required.

Junior Choral Spectrum Auditions will be held after school on Tuesday. Any 6th, 7th, or 8th grader enrolled in a music class can audition. The first Jr. Choral Spectrum rehearsal will be Thursday, September 27th after school.

The Adventure Club kayaking trip will now take place this Wednesday, September 26. There are 5 spots left if you want to go! Permission slips can be found on the classroom site or with Ms. Miller, Mrs. Giordani, or Mrs. Smith.

Composting is up and running in the cafeteria! Please ONLY put fruit and vegetable scraps in the compost buckets and stack lunch trays below the buckets.

Video News Club will be held on Tuesdays in the LMC starting October 2nd. Session 1 is open to 7th and 8th grade students. This session is expected to fill up quickly, so interested students should try to sign up this week in the LMC.
