Day 1

NO LATE BUSES TODAY

The LMC will be closed after school today.

Composting is now open in the Cafeteria. Please put fruit and vegetable scraps in the compost buckets and stack lunch trays on the bottom of the cart.

Don’t wait or it will be too late to order a yearbook.  The FINAL DEADLINE IS THIS WEEK! They are only $20 and can be purchased online.  Visit: ybpay.lifetouch.com  with the Yearbook ID code: 13368819.   See Mrs. Foster or Mrs. Smith for the order code or with questions.

Swing into Spring with Golf Intramurals.  All are welcome. Come join your classmates on Tuesdays and Thursdays for a five-week golf session.  We will drive, chip, and putt here at school.  We then plan to take field trips to South Shore Country Club to use the driving range and putting greens.  The program will begin Tuesday, April 23rd. Golf Clubs are not required but are helpful. Please see Mrs. Knight or Ms. Orcutt to register or feel free to email them.

Attention HMS…The art club needs your help collecting bottle caps for our last project of the year.  We want to turn your trash into art! Please save your plastic bottle caps of all shapes and sizes for the next week and over vacation.  There are collection boxes outside the main office, art room 224, and in the cafeteria. We appreciate your help!

Thank you to all of the participants of our first ever March Book Madness. The winners of the March Book Madness Raffle are Azariah Price and Joseph Schirmer. Congratulations! Come up to the LMC to pick up your gift card to Barnes & Noble.

Wouldn’t it be nice to get out and take a walk after a long day at school?  Join Ms. Devine and your classmates on Tuesdays after school for some fresh air and a nice walk.  Walking club to start up the Tuesday after Spring break. More details to follow on Monday, April 22nd.

Please join the Green Teams from all of the Hingham Schools for an educational evening about plastics in the ocean. We will show the documentary “A Plastic Ocean.” This event is free and will take place tonight from 7- 8 pm in the Middle School auditorium. All are welcome! Learn how you can be part of the solution!

MCAS week for 7th & 8th graders!  8th graders will be testing Monday & Wednesday, 7th graders will be testing Tuesday & Thursday.  Testing locations have been posted in the hallways – please make sure you know where to report when you arrive to school.  You should be prepared for testing by fully charging your Chromebook overnight, getting a good night’s sleep, and eating a healthy breakfast!

GREEN TEAM meeting today, April 9th after school in Ms. Miller’s room 217.  We will be planting daffodils outside. All are welcome.

Please help by donating items like markers, crayons, hi-lighters, rulers, pens, pencils and educational games.  Donations can be dropped off in the main lobby. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
